His love for fishing is represented in the label by incorporating an illustrated Cahill fly into the design. We worked with an earthy color palette, a cracked texture to give it a weathered look, and a little trout emblem to bring a natural, outdoorsy Colorado vibe. We took inspiration from the art deco style of architecture of the building as well as the colors found in the area. The use of multiple colors in the logo symbolizes the different areas of the library and it also allowed for individuals to pick their favorite color for their personal business card and library card, while keeping the libraries' identity unified.
enter Welcome Western Colorado (previously Welcome Montrose) is a community welcoming service providing new residents with information and discounts to local businesses. WWC needed a complete marketing package including the logo design, website, pocket folder, business cards, vouchers for the participating businesses, as well as other marketing materials. We provide the same design and development services for several other welcoming services including Welcome Gunnison Valley and Welcome Fannin. Not happy with my current web/graphic person, I was keeping an eye open to who in Montrose did web and graphics. It was not that the past person I used was bad, they just were unresponsive. The Pro cycling tour was coming through Montrose and I caught a glimpse of the new web site to promote the event and looked for the designer….it happened to be Treefeather Creative. I called Leanna and we began to work together. Working with Leanna at Treefeather solved all of the problems I was having in the past. Not only is Leanna responsive, she thinks of marketing approaches that I would never have thought of. Working with Leanna is like having a graphic and web person on my staff. I could never afford such a thing being a small business, but Leanna treats all of my projects as if they were her own. Leanna is cost conscience and yet will direct my projects to have them look professional and current. I have since had Leanna take over four new business ventures that I am a principal in. The Montrose Downtown Development Authority hired me to work on several projects over the last few years including posters, advertisements, logos, banners, etc. for events such as Main in Motion (an annual summer street festival), First Friday Art Stroll, and downtown promotion in general.
Covered in the logo requirements stated by Montrose County representatives, the logo should stand the test of time by representing the area and its surrounding communities in a traditional, but not antiquated way, and should reflect the County’s mission and vision statements. The logo should be legible, scalable, and flexible, designed to be used in a wide variety of mediums including print and digital applications. The logo should incorporate earthy tones, not bright primary colors, and no curly fonts. The logo should appeal to a wide range of diverse viewers. In addition to these requirements, the county wanted the new logo to reflect the major founding blocks of our area, being agriculture (represented by our famous Olathe Sweet Corn) and mining. The logo also includes the major natural landscapes that make up Montrose County including the Gunnison river and the surrounding mountains/plateaus/adobes. Inspiration was taken from the sihlouette of Warner Point. The logo includes traditional elements to convey a sense of establishment, while utilizing clean lines and a timeless font to stand the test of time. It is simple, scalable and versatile.

DMEA wanted to convey their involvement with the community and their efforts to utilize the area’s natural renewable energy resources. The large electric outlet immediately communicates who the ad is for as well as grabs the viewers attention.
Farmers Insurance Group, Howard Davidson Agency were in need of new business cards as well as an eye-catching full page ad. The business cards are double sided with the Farmers logo on the back and the agent’s info on the front. Adding the agent’s photo gives the cards a memorable, friendly touch. The solid blue stipe along the bottom wraps around both sides, giving the cards consistency front to back. It was important to keep all marketing materials consistent with the Farmers branding guidelines while adding a unique look.

Horsefly Brewing Co. came to us looking for some custom logos for their popular beer selection. We wanted the logos to reflect the brewery’s eclectic, rustic charm while capturing the distinct features of the individual beers.
